In the novel to kill a mocking bird by harper lee she tells a story about racisum and unfair treatment of people and how kids consept of right and wrong is alot diffrent then an adults consept of it.
the story all takes place in a southern town called maycomb. In maycomb there are alot of racest white famileys in the story. bob ewell and mayella ewell acuse tom robinson a nice black man of beating and rapeing mayella. they took it to court.atticus one of the main characters of the story is tom robbinsons lawyer and the father of scout and jem. thetwo main characters of the story. in court attucis showned that bob was lieing and what reakky happernd was bob beat mayella. even know everyone knew that tom was inocent the jurry still said he was gulty becasue he was back.
in the book there is a man named boo radly that was thought to be a monster because he never came out of his house but in reallity he was just a shy guy that only went out side when no one was there. boo left presents for scout and jem and saved them when bob ewell tryed to kill them "at night no one would pass the radly house. they would go accross the street "(pg 9) evry one was sacred of a nice shy guy. boo was an example of how rummors can be bad and make people be treated bad.
in the story there is a part wgere the reader sees there is a childs prospective of right and wrong and there is an adults prospective."atticus" jem said bleackly
he turned in the door way " what son"
"how could they"
"i dont know but they did it they have before and they did it tonight" (pg 212-213)
the children dont understand racesum and dont get the diffrence adults have learned and understand it and they also just go with the flow but the children play fair they want juatice and the right thing to be done because thats how they are raised.
in the story bob ewell dies. bob tryed to kill jem and scout but boo radley saved them. the sharrif coverd it up and said "bob fell on his kinfe." " let the dead burry the dead" pg(275) justice was served bob killed tom boo killed bob and boo was revealed as a nice person so the moral of to kill a moacking bird is...... its a sin to kill a mocking bird.
